Microsoft filed on October 5, 2007 to protect the trademark xRank, relating to “search engine services for assessing the frequency of search terms on the Internet and the popularity of search topics among Internet users”. A beta version of this tech can be seen on the Celebrity xRank page, part of Microsoft’s Live Search search engine, which recently got some major improvements and upgrades.
