On January 9, 2008, community-based news website Digg filed to protect the trademark The Digg Reel in relation to “entertainment services in the form of providing a series of audiovisual programs”.
The Digg Reel is rumored to be an upcoming TV/Web show produced by Revision3. While the content of the show is currently unknown, one rumor contends that The Digg Reel will feature the top videos submitted to Digg and will be hosted by Jessica Corbin.
News of the show surfaced when a graphic logo for The Digg Reel was recently seen on a background monitor on Episode 11 of The Revision3 Gazette. However, subsequent posts on Revision3 Forums suggest that the video has since been altered to omit the logo.
Digg should know that they can’t un-digg what’s already been dugg.
