On September 5, 2007, New Line Productions filed ten applications to protect the mark Spy-Fly. The primary filings protect the trademark for use in relation to motion picture films and television programs. Spy Fly was a character in the animated series ChalkZone that appeared on Nickelodeon from 2002 to 2006. The character was a chalk-fly with a camera mounted to its head. The term “spy fly” also refers generally to flying robotic surveillance devices with cameras. Mork’s looking forward to seeing what this project is all about!
UPDATE: Well, sometimes Mork misses the mark. Spy-fly is apparently a character in the upcoming film The Golden Compass. So there you go.
