  On August 24, 2007, singer-actor Andre Benjamin, also known as Andre 3000 from the hip hop duo Outkast, filed to protect the trademark The Vultures. In addition to the filing that covers the music, additional filings were made to protect in the name in relation to live performances and music videos, a variety of printed materials as well as a variety of clothing items and apparel. These recent filings seem to suggest Benjamin's renewed interest in the name, which he attempted to trademark for sound recordings and performances back in 2002 but abandoned in 2006.
