On December 20, 2007, pop star Avril Lavigne, through her management company Avril Lavigne Music & Entertainment, filed to protect the trademark Avril Lavigne in relation to “fragrances and perfumery; after shave; pre-shave; bath oil; bath soap; shower gel; body shampoo; deodorant for personal use; tissues impregnated with cosmetic lotions; bath crystals; bath milks; dusting powder; body lotion; body splash; body cream; hand lotion; and talc.”
Avril Bandaids (The Best Damn Avril Lavigne Fansite) reports that Lavigne confirmed plans for a fragrance as well as a clothing line for 2008 during a New Years party in Las Vegas. Lavigne reveals in this video:
“My New Year’s Resolution is just to just work really hard because I’m about to kick off my world tour, and to be healthy and be a good person and just to expand creatively with thing like…I’m going to do a clothing line. I’m going to do a fragrance, and to do lots and keep it going.”
Mork thinks that Avril’s fragrance should be called “Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne“. That would be hot.
