  On October 8, 2007, video game developer Capcom, publisher of Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Mega Man and Viewtiful Joe games, filed to protect the trademark Dark Void, in relation to, duh, a video game. There are some new rumors swirling about upcoming Capcom releases. And even a countdown on their Website, featuring the mysterious taunt "Prepare Yourself". While Mork prepares himself, he'll let the gaming folks chew on this rumor. UPDATE: So, the countdown mentioned above was for Streetfighter IV.   Microsoft filed on October 5, 2007 to protect the trademark xRank, relating to "search engine services for assessing the frequency of search terms on the Internet and the popularity of search topics among Internet users". There once was a software company in the 1980s named Infocom, which made many games and works of interactive fiction, including the Zork series, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Shogun. Mork thinks that Phil's middle name must be Awesome, as that is one clever name! You'd better hire a lawyer Margaret. There are going to be a lot of people who have a beef with your product!   United States of Tara

  On October 2, 2007, Showtime filed seven applications to protect the trademark United States of Tara, the upcoming comedy being developed by DreamWorks Television, based on an original concept by Steven Spielberg. The show, dubbed "The United States of Tara" by Variety earlier this year, is written and produced by Diablo Cody, an LA-based writer and blogger, and centers around a wife and mother of two teenage kids who suffers from dissociative identity (formerly multiple personality) disorder. Showtime President Robert Greenblatt describes the show as "Weeds" meets "Sybil".
